Description

POLYCHEM ACRASTRIP® 600 B&G MOD
FLASH POINT: NONE NON-FLAMMABLE ZERO HAP (as listed)
A purge / flush solution engineered for industrial & automotive coatings—built to help crews clean lines, guns, bells, pumps, and systems without leaning on acetone / MEK / xylene / toluene all day.
Why refinishers stock it
  • Fast purge + line cleanup during color changes or resin swaps.
  • Operator-friendly alternative to harsh solvent wiping (as positioned by Polychem).
  • Works across systems: pressure pots, plural component metering, electrostatic bells, pumps, and paint guns.
  • More economical than solvent (per manufacturer sheet) and built for production environments.

Pro Tip: Use Acrastrip Wipes as a great and safe overspray remover. Be sure to test in an inconspicuous place just to be safe.

Plain talk:
This is a system cleaner—not “perfume in a bottle.” Use it to keep your equipment, lines, and parts clean so your coatings go down right.
Purge / Flush Line Maintenance Gun Cleaning Paint Prep

ACRASTRIP® 600 B&G MOD — built for coating systems

Accrastrip Gun Soak

Designed to be used a Spray Gun Soak or to flush paint lines and systems used with urethanes, acrylics, epoxies, waterborne coatings, and high-solids bake enamels/polyesters (as listed). Helps remove residual paint during rapid color changes and cleanup cycles.

Use cases called out: electrostatic bells • paint guns • plural component metering systems • pressure pots • pumps
Zero HAP (as listed)
Positioned as a safer production alternative to common wipe solvents.
Non-flammable
Flash point shown as “none” on the product sheet.
More efficient than solvent
Built to shear & lift residues from line walls during purge cycles.
Recyclable / operator-safe (as listed)
Cleaner workflow for crews doing daily equipment maintenance.
How Pros Use It
Based on the manufacturer application sheet (field-friendly translation)
1) Purge / Line Flush
  • Use during color changes to remove residual paint from lines and system components.
  • Best performance is pressure-driven.
IMPORTANT (from sheet)
Apply a minimum of 65 PSI for optimal purge/flush results.
2) Line Maintenance (circulation lines)
  • Strips paint out of circulation lines when introducing a new paint.
  • Helps reduce the need to replace lines/fittings due to built-up films.
  • Typical use range: 25–100% concentration (per sheet).
Pro workflow: Run it, then do a complete air blow-down at the end of the process (recommended on sheet).
3) Paint Prep (wipe)
  • Use as a 10–15% solution to wipe surfaces prior to coating (per sheet).
  • Often no rinse required (per sheet); coating can go right over in many applications.
Refinisher note: Always do a quick compatibility test when changing coating families or when you’re on a weird substrate.
4) Gun Cleaning & Stripping
  • Works in washing systems or manual cup gun cleaning (flush chop guns, gravity feed guns, soak tips).
  • For dried/cured paint stripping, immersion is typically required (per sheet).
  • Can be used straight or 1:1 with water in certain stripping scenarios (per sheet).
Heat note (from sheet): Do not heat for flush applications; heat can be used to accelerate stripping applications.
Don’t forget the Polychem Wipes

Why they sell (real world)
  • Faster cleanup on the truck: hands, tools, gun cups, work surfaces.

  • Better consistency: every wipe is pre-measured saturation—no guessing.
  • Non-flammable / non-hazardous positioning (as described in Polychem marketing).
Pro tip: Keep one canister on the cart and one in the van—your cleanup speed becomes part of your “professionalism.”

Clean equipment = clean spray results.
Keep your lines, guns, and systems production-ready.

Note: Always follow SDS / application guidance and confirm compatibility with your specific coatings and equipment.
