Transfer to Plastic Jug — $15
Some customers request their coatings repackaged into DOT-labeled fluorinated plastic jugs.

This requires: • Stopping our production line • Specialized containers • DOT-compliant labeling

Benefit: Plastic jugs often ship more efficiently — we can usually pack 4 gallons per box instead of 2, which may reduces your shipping cost.

SHARKGRIP HIGH GLOSS EPOXY
Modified Epoxy for High-Turnover Refinishing

Built for the realities of commercial work — apartments, rentals, and multi-unit turnarounds. This is the epoxy system pros choose when they need speed, durability, and simplicity without sacrificing a glossy, professional finish.

1:1 Easy Mixing
Fast Tack-Up
3–4 Day Pot Life
Low Odor • ISO-Free

The Perfect Solution for High-Turnover Refinishing

At Shark Grip Coatings, we understand the demands of commercial refinishing — especially in high-turnover environments like apartments. Our High Gloss Modified Epoxy is built for speed on-site, dependable results, and fewer headaches for crews that have to keep moving.

Made for Apartment Speed

Designed specifically for fast-paced refinishing jobs in apartments and rental units — fast, durable, and reliable. This system helps you finish clean, pull tape, caulk, and move to the next unit.

Reality check: Speed is profit in multi-unit work.

1:1 Mix Ratio (No Guesswork)

Mix equal parts Part A and Part B. That’s it. No complicated math, no wasted time, and far fewer mixing mistakes when crews are working fast.

Pro tip: Train techs once — the system stays consistent.
Workflow Advantages That Save You Hours
Fast on the wall • Forgiving in the cup • Less waste overall.
Fast Tack-Up Time
  • Pull tape and caulk sooner
  • Keep the job moving
  • Fewer delays between steps
Crew advantage: Less waiting. More units per week.
Extended Pot Life (3–4 Days)
  • Mixed epoxy stays usable longer
  • Less waste between jobs
  • More flexibility for multi-day schedules
Money saver: Waste is profit leaking out of the cup.

Low Odor • ISO-Free

A safer, more comfortable jobsite experience — with no isocyanates in the catalyst and reduced odor. Ideal for occupied buildings, tight hallways, and crews that do this every day.

Immersion Rated & Versatile

Use one coating across many surfaces: tubs, tile, counters, floors — even water-exposed environments. For countertops, manual speckling can help mimic stone finishes.

Note: Performance depends on proper prep, film build, cure, and professional application.

Value That Makes Sense for Commercial Crews

✅ Cost-Effective System
Two gallons each of Part A and Part B, plus reducer — built for volume usage and consistent results. Volume discounts available.
✅ Fast Drying • Long Working Time
Sprays fast on the wall while remaining workable in the cup — a rare combination that helps mobile pros stay efficient.

Trusted by 3,000+ Refinishers Nationwide

Shark Grip Coatings is a leader in commercial refinishing supplies, known for high-performance products and real support. Whether you’re restoring a single tub or turning an entire apartment complex, this Modified Epoxy gives you the edge.

SharkGrip High Gloss Epoxy — Mixing & Induction Instructions
Proper mix ratio, induction, and equipment setup are critical for flow, gloss, and durability.
Exact Mix Ratio (No Guessing)
  • 1 Part Part A (Resin)
  • 1 Part Part B (Catalyst)
  • Mix equal parts by volume.
Important: Mix vigorously until the material is completely uniform and streak-free.
Typical Small Tub Mix
A standard small steel or fiberglass bathtub will typically require:
  • 6 ounces Part A (Resin)
  • 6 ounces Part B (Catalyst)
Thin only as needed based on temperature and spray equipment.
Mandatory Induction Time
After mixing Part A and Part B:
  • Allow the material to induct for 30 minutes.
  • This allows the epoxy system to fully homogenize.
  • Proper induction improves flow, leveling, adhesion, and cure consistency.
With the extended pot life, you can mix upon arrival at the job and set aside while prepping the surface.
Thinning & Spray Equipment Guidance
Add thinner only after induction, immediately before spraying.
  • Thinning requirements depend on temperature, humidity, and airflow.
  • 2–3 stage turbine systems generally require more reducer.
  • 5–6 stage turbine systems require less due to higher air volume and improved atomization.
  • Always spray a test panel when changing equipment or conditions.

Built for Turnarounds. Built for Pros.

Fast tack-up. Easy 1:1 mixing. Long pot life. Glossy results.
The epoxy system that keeps commercial crews moving.

IMMERSION SERVICE vs. SPLASH ZONE — READ THIS
“Immersion-rated” does not mean “immersion-ready tomorrow.”
Blue Label Epoxy is immersion-service rated — but immersion capability is achieved only after full chemical cure (crosslinking), not when it merely feels dry to the touch.

? SPLASH ZONE (Tubs & Tile)
Intermittent water exposure that drains after use.
Typical return to service: next day*
? FULL IMMERSION (Pools/Tanks)
Constant submersion + hydrostatic pressure.
Minimum cure before filling: 7 days**

Important: Do not confuse an immersion rating with immediate immersion readiness. Cure science governs performance — not label wording.

* Next-day splash-zone service assumes correct mix ratio, proper film build, adequate temperature/ventilation, and no standing water.
** Immersion cure time varies with temperature, ventilation, film thickness, reducer selection, and mix accuracy; colder conditions and heavier films extend cure.
