Reducers - Flow Control
Professional coatings perform best when the reducer system matches the chemistry of the coating itself. Shark Grip Coatings reducers and flow control systems are engineered specifically for our primers and topcoats to optimize atomization, leveling, flash time, and long-term film performance.
Reducers and thinners are more than simple solvents. They control viscosity, atomization, evaporation rate, and how the coating flows and levels on the surface. When the reducer system matches the coating chemistry, the coating performs exactly as engineered.
1 Correct Atomization & Spray Pattern
Reducers control how coatings break apart at the spray gun. When properly matched to the coating system, atomization improves dramatically, resulting in smoother finishes and fewer spray defects.
2 Controlled Flash Time & Leveling
Each reducer blend is balanced to control evaporation rate. This helps coatings flow together properly before curing, reducing orange peel, dry spray, and other surface defects.
3 System-Matched Performance
Our reducers are engineered to work specifically with Shark Grip primers and topcoats. This allows coatings to reach their designed gloss, durability, and chemical resistance while often costing less than generic solvent blends.
