How to Use Your Portable Repair Kit (Run & Gun Workflow)
Clean • Promote • Spray • Blend • Leave
Non-negotiable: Follow the shake + purge steps on every can. DO NOT SKIP THIS. It prevents spitting, debris, and inconsistent flow.
Step 1) Solvent Wipe (SWAT)
  • Solvent Wipe the repair zone with SWAT to remove silicone oils, waxy residue, polishes, and contaminants.
  • Let the surface flash off fully before moving to adhesion.

Step 2) Choose Your Adhesion Promoter
  • Porcelain / Ceramic Tile: Apply Power Bond (Spray Can).
  • Composites (ABS, Fiberglass, Cultured Marble, Vinyl repairs): Use Bulldog Adhesion Promoter.
  • Apply a thin, even coat and let it dry (do not flood it).
Step 3) Tack Cloth (Clean Finish Insurance)
  • Once the adhesion promoter is dry, tack cloth the area to remove dust and particles.
  • This is the difference between a “good repair” and a “clean repair.”
Step 4) SharkThane Quick Dry Aerosol (STPQD)
DO NOT LEAVE OUT THIS STEP: Shake vigorously for 1 full minute while your adhesion promoter is drying.
  • Shake the STPQD spray can vigorously for 1 minute.
  • Turn can upside down and depress the button for a few quick bursts to establish flow and clear debris.
  • From normal spraying distance, apply STPQD until you are satisfied with coverage and hide.
  • Wait 1–2 minutes (temperature dependent).
Step 5) Melt Down Repair Blender (“Burn the Halo”)
  • Grab your Melt Down Repair Blender.
  • Shake well, then clear the nozzle with a few quick bursts to establish constant flow and remove debris.
  • Mist across the edges first — aim at the dry edges / halo line.
  • Wait 1–2 minutes between each burst.
  • Then mist lightly across the entire repair surface.
Like magic: you’re done. No return trips. No polishing. No buffing.
Move on to the next one.
Pro Timing Notes:
  • Cooler temps = slightly longer flash. Warmer temps = faster flashes.
  • Multiple light passes beat one heavy pass (less risk of runs).
  • Keep spare nozzles / caps if you’re running lots of repairs.
Rule: Thin + controlled + clean always wins.

    I used my first can today. Went down very smooth and was a very convenient way to blend out an area that had been damaged. Without using my machine and gun, then going through the expense and hassle of cleaning my gun after use.
