1) Purge / Line Flush
- Use during color changes to remove residual paint from lines and system components.
- Best performance is pressure-driven.
IMPORTANT (from sheet)
Apply a minimum of 65 PSI for optimal purge/flush results.
2) Line Maintenance (circulation lines)
- Strips paint out of circulation lines when introducing a new paint.
- Helps reduce the need to replace lines/fittings due to built-up films.
- Typical use range: 25–100% concentration (per sheet).
Pro workflow: Run it, then do a complete air blow-down at the end of the process (recommended on sheet).
3) Paint Prep (wipe)
- Use as a 10–15% solution to wipe surfaces prior to coating (per sheet).
- Often no rinse required (per sheet); coating can go right over in many applications.
Refinisher note: Always do a quick compatibility test when changing coating families or when you’re on a weird substrate.
4) Gun Cleaning & Stripping
- Works in washing systems or manual cup gun cleaning (flush chop guns, gravity feed guns, soak tips).
- For dried/cured paint stripping, immersion is typically required (per sheet).
- Can be used straight or 1:1 with water in certain stripping scenarios (per sheet).
Heat note (from sheet): Do not heat for flushing line applications; heat can be used to accelerate stripping and cleaning applications only. Heating for parts and spray equipment cleaning is fine.
PRO TIP (Overspray Fix)
Green Overspray Remover Mix
Before you put your gun soak in service: save 1 sealed pint.
Overspray removal is one of the most common daily calls. This is a safer, more forgiving move than grabbing hot solvents.
The mix
50% ACRASTRIP® 600 + 50% water
Spray or wipe on, then wipe clean.
Always test a small hidden spot first.
Why the water cut matters
It’s typically less aggressive on many surfaces while still lifting overspray. Wipes are excellent, but they can be “too hot” on some cheap/soft finishes — this diluted mix is often the safer first move.
Keep this pint sealed.
